Marketing Executive

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  1.  Digital & Online
  • Website content management, including ongoing development and regular updating of news stories, product information, digital media, etc., ensuring alignment of content on 3rd party websites.
  • Social media management and content origination across multiple platforms including Linked In and Instagram, defining and executing strategies to build followers and brand awareness.
  • Email campaign management and content origination, ensuring a regular communication programme targeted at the wider customer base (i.e. wholesalers, contractors, developers, specifiers, etc.).
  • Video creation to support new product launches, to promote the features and benefits of the wider brand and product portfolio, and to assist with troubleshooting
  1.  Marketing Collateral
  • Ensuring collateral supports the company’s ethos and strategy, is aligned with brand guidelines, is unique, creative and concise, is timely and cost effective, and is refreshed regularly.
  • Produce copy and manage artwork requirements for company and customer literature, to include product catalogues, brochures, flyers, posters, price lists, promotional literature, packaging, POS, etc.
  1.  Advertising & PR
  • Manage advertising campaigns within the trade press in consultation with Product Managers and in support of company objectives to maximise product and brand awareness.
  • Produce regular content to attain editorial and advertorial inclusions wherever possible in trade publications to help maximise product and brand awareness.
  1.  Packaging
  • Creating packaging artwork briefs aligned with brand guidelines, relaying these to partner factories, project managing new artwork and artwork changes, ensuring timely approval and implementation.
  1.  General
  • Presenting strategies and initiatives to key stakeholders to secure buy-in and approval.
  • Project manage and coordinate marketing activities, working closely with stakeholders around the business to define initiatives, ensuring these are executed on a timely basis and with maximum impact.
  • Supporting new product launches, working within cross-departmental project teams in defining and maintaining a critical path, ensuring on time delivery of milestones in line with the original brief.
  • Ensure effective use of all marketing communication tools available to the business as required to promote and support each of the brands and product categories.
  • Analyse and report on the results of campaigns deployed across multiple channels, sharing details with relevant departments and fine-tuning campaigns to deliver maximum impact and results.
  • Maintain product image library, advertising and PR library, electronic mailing lists, etc.
  • Manage stock levels of marketing collateral.

What we're looking for:

Essential

  • Educated to A Level or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years B2B Marketing experience within an FMCG business
  • Ability to work effectively in a high pressure and deadline driven environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organisation skills
  • Attention to detail and a thorough and accurate approach to work
  • Resourceful and lateral thinking with a creative approach to tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in both a team environment and on own
  • Strong project management and problem solving skills
  • Drive, ambition and enthusiasm to deliver results and progress within the organisation
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

Desirable

  • Degree in Marketing or Communications, or CIM Qualification
