Product Marketing Apprentice

Department: Buying & Product Development

Location: Chalton, Bedfordshire

Reports To: Packaging Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and creative Product Marketing Apprentice to join our Buying and Product Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product marketing, working closely with packaging, design, and commercial teams to support the development and promotion of our product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and execution of product launch plans.
  • Support market research activities to gain a deeper understanding of customer needs, competitor offerings, and industry trends.
  • Help develop product positioning, messaging, and product packaging.
  • Collaborate with the design and content teams to produce product imagery (e.g., for brochures, web content, social media posts).
  • Conduct product photography and editing for use in both printed and digital media, including internal and customer websites.
  • Monitor campaign performance and assist Product Managers in understanding key metrics.
  • Maintain the image library.
  • Create packaging specification documents to align with the needs of the company and its customers, and to share with suppliers.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute ideas to improve product visibility and customer engagement.
  • Support the Packaging Specialist in meeting sustainable packaging objectives and gathering supporting evidence from factories.

Skills & Experience

  • Passion for marketing, branding, and consumer products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of photography and image editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign or Illustrator) is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) or A-Levels (or equivalent) qualifications preferred.
