Relay and Trigger Bases

The new Relay and Trigger Bases (1191/1192) are ideal for interlinking and enhancing fire safety systems in residential properties.

Deta’s two new Relay Bases enable installers and developers to interlink fire safety systems within buildings that are 4 stories high and less than 18m tall. By triggering sounders and beacons the relay base can help improve fire detection systems and improving danger notifications.

Operate Ancillary Equipment

Operate 24VDC or 240VAC sounders and beacons, as well as other safety equipment such as magnetic doors and sprinkler systems. When interlinked alarms in the system are activated, the relay module will activate auxiliary devices.

Trigger Input

Connect Deta’s Smoke, Heat, and CO alarms to other equipment, and the trigger allows for the alarm to be activated by a switch input. This can be connected to sprinkler systems or other traditional switches to activate an alarm to sound.

In Wales, the Domestic Fire Safety Measure requires for all new and converted houses and flats to have fire sprinkler systems installed, and the Relay & Trigger Base can be used to connect the system with the fire alarms.

Alarm Interlinking

Provide enhanced coverage throughout a property by interlinking up to 12 Deta safety alarms using the Relay & Trigger Base. Compatible alarms include:

Easy Installation

The Relay & Trigger Base replaces the standard base supplied with the alarms and allow for Alarm heads to be connected using universal push-fix mounting. The base provides multiple cable entry options including round rear entry and side entry for trunking and incorporates a removable cover with a hinged lid to restrict access to live parts.

Mains Powered and Battery Backup Option

Choose from two mains powered options, either with or without a long lithium battery backup:

In the event of a mains power outage, the 1192 Battery Back Up ensures continued usage.
